Carbon Literacy is defined as: "An awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis."
Typically a one-day, accredited course, Carbon Literacy training provides people with an understanding of climate change science, carbon footprints, and the global and local impacts of greenhouse gas emissions. The core goal is to empower individuals to take informed and impactful action—both personally and professionally—to transition to a low-carbon society. As a requirement of certification, participants commit to at least two significant actions to reduce carbon emissions.
Who is the course for?
My Built environment course is targeted at anyone working in the industry, at any level. You may be a client, contractor, designer or supply chain. Content draws on my first hand experience of delivery, as well as my wider connections in the industry. I have tailored the course to talk in real terms about the projects you have on your desk right now, and how you can transpose what you learn into action.
